Meghalaya is known for its natural beauty, hills, plateau, rain and caves. Very few places are there for historical trip. Nartiang is one of them.

There is a Durga temple in Nartiang, which is also a Shaktipeeth. Jaintia kings were followers of Durga and used to come here. They built monolyth also to celebrate victory in battles. Some of these monolyths are tallest in the world.
