Itinerary
- Day 01: Srinagar Arrival and Local Sightseeing
Cab will pick you up from Srinagar airport and transfer to your hotel/houseboat. After check in, take some rest and then go on a sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit the Mughal Gardens i.e. Shalimar Garden, Chashm-e-Shahi Garden and Nishat Garden. Back to hotel/houseboat in the evening.
- Day 02: Srinagar to Gulmarg Excursion (55+55 km)
After breakfast, start for Gulmarg excursion tour. Gulmarg is surrounded by snow-covered mountains from all sides and is among Asia’s famous ski destinations and is known for its winter sports and activities. Here you can enjoy a pony ride or Gondola ride (At your own cost). The Gulmarg Gondola is one of the highest in the world reaching 3979 Meter. Back to Srinagar for overnight stay.
- Day 03: Srinagar to Sonmarg Excursion (80+80 km)
After breakfast, start for Sonmarg excursion tour. Enroute visit Kheer Bhawani Temple. Take in the spiritual atmosphere and learn about the history of the temple. Then head towards Sonmarg. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Then spend your time in Sonmarg exploring its natural beauty. Visit Thajiwas Glacier or take a short trek around the area to soak in the breathtaking views (At your own cost). You may visit Zozila Pass by local taxi (local taxi cost extra and pay directly to the local taxi driver.) Back to Srinagar for overnight stay.
- Day 04: Srinagar to Doodhpathri Excursion (40+40 km)
After breakfast, start for Doodhpathri excursion tour. The name ‘doodpathri’ means Valley of Milk. The water which is at present flowing through the meadows has a milky appearance from the distance and remains very cold throughout the year.The lush green grasses over the vast meadows and silver shining streams running over the large stones further increase its beauty. Doodhpathri lies in a bowl shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2,730 m (8,957 ft) above sea level. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine Fir and Deodar. The natural meadows, which are covered with snow in winter, allow the growth of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and butter cups during spring and summer. Back to Srinagar for overnight stay.
- Day 05: Srinagar to Pahalgam (90 km)
After breakfast, check out the hotel and start your journey to Pahalgam. Pahalgam is also called the “Valley of Shepherds”. It is located at an altitude of 7200 feet on the banks of the Lidder River and is famous for being the location for the shooting of many Bollywood films. Check in to your hotel and take some rest. You can do river rafting near Pahalgam. If time permits, visit Betab Valley, Chandanwari and Aru Valley (by local taxi at extra cost payable directly to the local taxi driver).
- Day 06: Pahalgam Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, go on a sightseeing tour of Pahalgam. You can explore the enchanting Betab Valley, Chandanwari, visit the scenic Aru Valley and experience the serene beauty of the Lidder River (by local taxi at extra cost payable directly to the local taxi driver). Pahalgam is known for its captivating landscapes, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. You can enjoy river rafting near Pahalgam (at your own cost). Night stay in hotel in Pahalgam.
- Day 07: Pahalgam to Srinagar (90 km)
After breakfast, check out the hotel and start for Srinagar. Check in to the hotel/houseboat in Srinagar. Take some rest. Enjoy shikara ride in Dal Lake in the evening.
- Day 08: Srinagar Checkout
After breakfast, check out the hotel. Cab will drop you at Srinagar Airport.
