Itinerary
- Day 01: Delhi to Mussoorie (300 km)
Cab will pick you up from Delhi airport or railway station. Start your journey towards Mussoorie. Upon arrival in Mussoorie, check into your hotel. After freshen up, head to Mall Road for a leisurely walk, some shopping and lunch at one of the local restaurants. After lunch, take the cable car to Gun Hill Point for panoramic views of the Himalayas and Doon Valley. Enjoy a pleasant walk on Camel’s Back Road. You can also opt for a horse ride if you prefer. Head back to your hotel. - Day 02: Mussoorie Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, start Mussoorie sightseeing tour. Visit Lal Tibba, the highest point in Mussoorie, offering stunning views. Explore the quaint town of Landour, known for its colonial architecture. Then head towards Kempty Falls. Although it can be crowded, the waterfall is a popular attraction and worth seeing. After coming back to Mussoorie, visit the Company Garden, which is a beautiful park with flowers, a small lake and an amusement park. In the evening, explore the Library Chowk area and Mall Road. - Day 03: Mussoorie to Rishikesh (70 km)
After breakfast, check out the hotel and start for Rishikesh. You can visit Mussoorie Lake enroute enjoying boating and the picturesque surroundings. Begin your return journey to Rishikesh. The drive will take around 3 hours. Check in to your hotel/resort/camp. After some rest, visit Ram Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganga river. You can also explore the surrounding area, which has many shops, cafes and yoga centers. Next, head to the Beatles Ashram, also known as the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, which is where the Beatles stayed in 1968 and wrote many of their famous songs. The ashram has beautiful street art and graffiti, and you can take a guided tour to learn more about its history. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony, which takes place at the Parmartha Niketan and Triveni Ghat. This is a Hindu ritual of worship and gratitude offered to the Ganges river. Back to hotel for overnight stay. - Day 04: Rishikesh to Jim Corbett (200 km)
After breakfast, check out the hotel and head to the starting point of your rafting expedition. It will take 2-3 hours or more, navigating through thrilling rapids of varying grades. After rafting, start for Jim Corbett. It will take approx 4-5 hours in normal traffic conditions. Check-in to your accommodation and freshen up. In the evening, you can enjoy some leisure time, explore the nearby area or relax at the hotel/resort. - Day 05: Jungle Safari and Corbett to Ranikhet (90 km)
Start your day with morning jeep safari in the park. This is the best time to spot wildlife, as animals are most active early in the morning. Your guide will take you through alloted zone of the park, where you may spot tigers, elephants, deer and other animals. After breakfast, check out the hotel and start for Ranikhet. It will take 3-4 hours. Visit Binsar Mahadev temple near Sauni village. Check in to your hotel, take some rest and visit nearby places as per your interest. Enjoy the sunset view on Himalayan peaks. - Day 06: Ranikhet to Kausani (60 km)
After breakfast, chck out the hote. Visit Jhula Devi temple. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and has a unique feature of bells tied to the temple premises. Visit Chaubatia Garden, which is a beautiful orchard of apple, peach, and apricot trees. The garden also offers a stunning view of the Himalayan range. Start from Ranikhet to Kausani via Someshwar. Upon arrival in Kausani, check into your hotel and rest for a while. In the afternoon, visit Anasakti Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi stayed for some time and wrote his commentary on the Gita-Anasakti Yoga. Enjoy stunning Himalayan sunset. - Day 07: Kausani to Bhimtal (120 km)
Wake up early morning to witness the stunning sunrise view of the Himalayas. After breakfast, check out the hotel. Visit the Kausani Tea Estate, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and a chance to taste the finest tea. Then start from Kausani to Bhimtal. Visit Almora and Kainchi Dham en route. Check into your hotel. Enjoy the serene waters of the lake and the beautiful views of the hills surrounding it. - Day 08: Full Day Lake Tour
After breakfast, get ready for full day lake tour. Visit Bhimtal Lake. You can take a walk around the lake or go for a boat ride to enjoy the calm and serene surroundings. Visit Naukuchiatal, which is a beautiful lake with nine corners. You can take a walk around the lake or go for a boat ride to enjoy the calm and serene surroundings. Visit Sattal Lake, which is a group of seven interconnected freshwater lakes. You can take a walk around the lake or go for a boat ride. Sattal is also famous for bird watching. In the evening, you may go to Nainital. Back to Bhimtal for overnight stay. - Day 09: Bhimtal to Delhi Drop (300 km)
After breakfast, check out the hotel and start your return journey from Bhimtal to Delhi. Cab will drop you at Delhi railway station or airport.
